Bankruptcy
In a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy a debtor asks for and, if certain eligibility standards are met, receives a court order (called a “Discharge”) stating that he or she no longer has to pay any debts that are legally dischargeable.
Divorce
An uncontested divorce is one where there are no disputes between the parties about division of property, child support, visitation and custody, spousal support, or any other possible disputed matters.

About Me
I have been actively practicing law for nearly 40 years, and have maintained a private law practice in Frederick County, Virginia for approximately the past 30 years. I received my law degree from George Washington University School of Law in 1980, and graduated number one in my law school class. Before receiving my law degree, I was an active duty Naval Officer and served in a variety of technical and managerial positions before retiring from active duty in 1981 with 20 years of military service. In addition to my law degree, I have an undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Science) in physics and a graduate degree (Master of Science) in electrical engineering.
